Birthday girl

Somebody turned EIGHT today!
Our little girl is no longer so little (sniff, sniff). She's growing up in many ways. We are so thankful for the growth in her heart as well. She is sweet and loving, a giver, a helper, and thoughtful of others. We pray that God will preserve her and form her as it suits Him. I pray that God will not only work in my children's lives, but that they would have tender hearts towards His workings and listen to His voice. That they would learn to know the Shepherd's voice and trust it as a kind and loving voice. This is a mother's prayer. Why? Because if they know His voice and follow Him willingly and obediently, they will be spared the consequences of the Shepherd's rod when they go astray.

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me...and I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." John 10:27,28

Wow...isn't it awesome to see your child showing those traits you have worked so hard to develop? I guess that's the trade off for losing your babies to the grown-up versions...what a reward!
