I've been wanting to blog several things lately, but alas, there is no time. There is no time. Hear that? That statement is a commonly heard one in my mind. But it's because life is full and busy with things of higher priority, like family, and homeschooling, and friends....
So, how about condensing at least some of these things into one post?
We had the blessing of enjoying a visit from some brothers and a sister from So Korea, a former Korean from Maine who came to translate, and my parents! The Koreans did not stay at our house, but we enjoyed having them all for dinner one evening while they were here. It was a real encouragement!

This is Young Mi, one of the sweetest and most sincere Christians I've met. She is a former Korean who lives in Maine now, and came here to translate for the others while here in Canada. My parents also came up from Oregon for a week and we really enjoyed having them here and getting to visit for a while, though it seemed to go by very quickly.

Mr. and Mrs. Shin, a sweet Christian couple who show uncommon devotion for the Lord, it really puts us to shame. They long for the truth, and traveled from Korea to learn more Christian truth, and are willing to spend entire days studying the Word in their eagerness to learn. Like I said, it's humbling. If only more of us had that same hunger to learn the truth of God's Word.

Mr Jung, an elderly gentleman, also came from Korea.

Mrs Shin absolutely adores babies and children, as it obvious here

This Avian loves to rule the roost, and provides much amusement (and nuisance) to our days

THIS is an unwanted pest, but of course this is an obvious attraction for the furry creatures.

Another favorite pastime is dressing up Benjamina, poor thing. She is really quite tolerant!

A favorite thing to do in the early morning when they are bored...dangle the stuffies on the ceiling fan, then turn it on and watch them swing around and go flying! Simple pleasures amuse...uh, children!

As if life isn't quite busy enough, a friend and I had the privilege and joy of putting on a tea again! We didn't have a lot of time to plan, but it turned out very well, thanks to Heather! We set up 3 long tables in our LR, and I think we had about 18 people! I enjoy doing teas, not just for the food, although it is scrumptious! No, because it provides an enjoyable and fun opportunity to get together with other women, and to encourage Christian fellowship and all things feminine. (and, it is a blessing to serve others, I wish everyone realized how much joy it can bring!)
It is encouraging to get together and mingle as a group, to enjoy good food and happy times. We ate, played a few games, had a gift exchange, and sang. Two of the older ladies actually stayed for one or two hours afterward and helped with the cleanup. An example of love and service, thank you ladies! I had so much help from Heather, my Mom (thank you, Sharon!), and others that it really made the event go smoothly and relatively easily.

It was also the most varied group! We had two ladies from Korea, one from Maine, one from Oregon, and one from Ontario! (they were already in the area, not just for the tea!)

Heather provided a lot of the teacups, some tea trivia cards and sheets, the lacey doily things, and helped with a lot of other things. I could never have done all this without her help!
Oh, and she made up little name tag/favor bags for each guest

Ooops, the strawberry jam got overfilled and was oozing! These are the toppings for scones: devonshire cream, lemon curd, strawberry jam, and butter - all homemade except for the butter! Altogether we had various tea sandwiches, mini quiches, scones with toppings, fruit, and an assortment of desserts.
I did not get *any* (gasp!) photos, and these were the only ones I have of the tea, and they are compliments of my dad! That was my biggest regret. Not only did I not even have my camera in the house, but I was far too busy serving to get any pictures of the food or closeups of the guest. Arrgh! All that work and no photos! LOL!
Next up: my bathroom! (to spare you an exceedingly lengthy post!)

I love it! My you have been busy...I wish I could come for tea, so lovely! We have the same taste in music and I just love to open your blog and listen - thanks!
The tea looks so fancy, great job! Loved Benjamina's outfit and the fan with all the teddies hanging off of it lol!
What a beautiful tea you helped prepare and host! The toppings for the scones look delicious! My favorites are curd & cream or jam. Mmm...
Such beautiful table settings, as well! Thanks for sharing!
Joyfully in Jesus,

Such a great post! That tea looks awesome, good work lady! :-) I'd love to do something like that, you're right, it truly is a wonderful blessing to have believers in your home, and to serve. We get to do it still, just in a little different way now, with living so far from everyone. Can't wait to see your bathroom! :-)
Thanks, everyone! I appreciate the comments! You are very kind.
